These summaries in the Report of the Director General 1999 contain information on a project basis. Each file contains a brief project summary, highlights of research progress during 1999, and next step activities for 2000. Collaborating institutions and IRRI contacts are also provided. These are the continuing updates for projects identified with IRRI's 1998-2003 Medium-Term Plan (MTP). As indicated there will be some project mergers taking place in 2000.
